Tarteist PRO Cruelty-free Individual Lashes consist of a pack that includes many lash clusters that can be adhered one by one to take your lash look in any direction you please. If you simply want to fill in the gaps and give your natural lash line an extra boost, these individual lashes can accomplish that, but if you’re desiring something full-bodied and wowing, these same lashes can do so just by being built up for extra volume. These individual lashes are best paired with the Tarteist PRO Lash Adhesive.
Tarte Lights Camera Lashes 4-in-1 Mascara Review
Formulated without harsh chemicals and mostly natural ingredients, Tarte’s Lights Camera Lashes 4-in-1 mascara is one of our favorites, and for numerous reasons. Not only does the brush apply the black contents onto your natural lashes with perfection, accuracy, and ease, but the formula also dries quickly, does not smudge easily and stays put for the entire day. One of the writers on our writing team has especially sensitive eyes and usually can’t use mascara for this reason, so we recommend she try out this product. She told us that her eyes were not irritated at all and that she was especially happy with the results this mascara offered her, which only solidified our support of this product. The 4-in-1 mascara is meant to length, curl, volumize and condition – and it does exactly that.
Tarte Lights Camera Lashes Eyeliner Review
Another one of Tarte’s wonderful products for sensitive eyes, the Lights, Camera, Lashes Precision Longwear Liquid Eyeliner is a wonderful complement to both the 4-in-1 mascara and the Tarteist PRO Cruelty-free Lashes. This eyeliner is a super accurate precision pen that is available in only black, allowing anyone to easily master the cat eye look or winged eyeliner with just the swipe of a pen. It is ultra-pigmented, so it won’t become patchy or faded, and it stays put exactly where you apply it, while still being moisturizing.
The Downsides of Tarte Lashes
Although their selection of false lashes is simple and easy to navigate, it is clear that Tarte Cosmetics is first and foremost a makeup brand. With that being said, they do not offer different styles of false eyelashes, but the options they do provide are all extremely well designed and suitable for a variety of individuals. From natural to wispy, to dramatic, it is quite likely you’ll fall in love with at least one of their lash styles, so the minimal amount of choices might not be a downside for everyone. We also wish that they had more product photos available of each style. Along with each style, you can see what it looks like being worn by one model, but it would be extremely helpful to see each style pictures on a variety of different eye shapes. It is difficult sometimes when shopping online to know what a fake eyelash style might look like on your own eye, especially for individuals with unique eye shapes and sizes.

Company Reputability:
Starting out way back in 1999, Tarte Cosmetics has been around for a long time as a makeup brand, introducing false lashes into their lineup back in 2016. Although 2016 was only a few years ago, the brand already had more than a decade of experience producing cosmetics related items, and for this reason, Tarte upholds a high company reputability, receiving a score of 97% in this category.
Price:
Tarte’s price point is in the average range when compared to all other false eyelash brands, with drugstore brands like Ardell, Eylure and Kiss included, costing around $12 USD per set. When considering that Tarte qualifies as more of a higher-end beauty brand, being stocked by stores such as Sephora, Ulta and Macy’s, Tarte’s lashes are then more on the affordable side, particularly when compared with other synthetic lash producers that hold a much higher price point, like the synthetic silk falsies by Velour Lashes, the Unisyn lashes by Esqido or the Faux Mink lashes by Lilly Lashes. For this reason, we awarded Tarte a 95% in terms of price.
Quality:
After trying out our own sets of Tarte lashes, we must say that the quality is easily recognizable. The lashes feel comfortable and lightweight, they do not look overly plasticy like some cheaper falsies can, and they withstood all-day wear with no problems. The lash band was easy to apply extremely close to the natural lash line, which shows that Tarte put a lot of thought into the technology of the band itself, which is not always the case with many fake eyelash companies. For cruelty-free lashes, we’d say they’re quite wonderful, but might not be as high quality as some of the most pricey lashes on the market that offer comparable real mink falsies. For these reasons, we gave Tarte a 93% for its overall quality rating.

Variety:
This category is probably where Tarte is lacking the most. With only about 10 different false eyelash styles to choose from, this makeup brand does not offer much variety, but we hope that this will change in the near future as the company continues to expand its various product lines. We’d love to see Tarte introduce some more unique and dual-purpose lash styles into their Tarteist collection because we are already quite happy with the selections they do offer, so we’d love to buy more. When it comes to variety, we awarded Tarte an 85%.
Durability:
Although Tarte does not advertise how many times their Tarteist PRO Cruelty-free lashes can be reused, they are multi-use and we did put them to the test. It seems that they can withstand about 20 wears, so be it that proper care is utilized between applications (this entails cleaning, gentle removal, gentle application, etc.). 20 wears sits at the average to high range when compared with other lash brands, which is why we gave Tarte a 90% for durability.
